
Jim is a Certified Accessibility Professional
Using principles of Universal Design Jim aims to make the world accessible for everyone. Universal Design intends to make the built environment as accessible as possible for all persons. This not just includes those with disabilities, but also persons of all shapes and sizes, parents with children and strollers, persons with service dogs, pregnant women, persons who speak different languages and even tourists.
Jim offers services to work with builders, developers, cities, schools and communities to help design, build, and renovate private and public spaces to be accessible for everyone.
Motivational Speaker
Jim provides motivation and inspiration through presentations that draw upon his trials and challenges as a quadriplegic. He discusses overcoming adversity and facing difficulties and challenges head on.
Jim also educates the public on accessibility issues as well as his experiences in the health care system.
He has presented to a variety of groups including everyone from elementary school students right up to University students entering the medical field. He has presented to community groups such as the Rotary Club of Canada, and tailors his presentations to the audience.

Jim shares his perspective of living life as a quadriplegic in this blog.
